These Creamy Parmesan Mushroom Cup Appetizers are the perfect finger food for New Years Eve and holiday parties. They're easy to make and perfectly savory!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 sheets puff pastry dough, cut into 3 1/2 to 4 inch squares
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 cups fresh mushrooms, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves (or dried), chopped
  • 1 small splash dry white wine
  • a pinch each of salt and pepper
  • 1 1/2 blocks full fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan, plus more for topping
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cut your defrosted puff pastry into 3 1/2 to 4 inch squares and press gently into 12 muffin cups. Place the muffin tins in the freezer for the dough to firm up while you're making the filling.
