HOMEMADE LAVENDER ICE CREAM

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lavender
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar in a small sauce pan. Heat the mixture over low heat until the cream is just warm.
  2. Put the lavender flowers in a tea bag or mesh infuser and add to the heated cream mixture. Let the lavender steep for 20 minutes.
  3. Remove the lavender and put the mixture in a covered container. Put the container in the fridge for 1-2 hours or overnight until the cream is cold.
