Lemon Ricotta Pasta with Broccoli

This delicious Lemon Ricotta Pasta is bursting with bright, fresh flavors, and it's ready in minutes!


  • 1 pound rotini pasta
  • 4 cups broccoli florets (about 2 large heads)
  • 1 (15-ounce) container ricotta cheese (about 1 3/4 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • zest from a large lemon, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • kosher salt
  • pepper
  • Parmesan cheese, for serving

  1. Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until almost al dente.
  2. When about 2 minutes of pasta cooking time remain, add broccoli to pot. Continue cooking until pasta is al dente.
  3. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water, then drain pasta and broccoli.
